Organic Vapor Jet Printing

Stephen Forrest and coworkers at Princeton have developed a new solvent-free printing method. In Organic Vapor Jet Printing (OVJP), vapor of e.g. an organic semiconductor is transported by an inert carrier gas and ejected through a nozzle.

An article by Shtein et al in Advanced Materials describes the method. From the abstract:

Ultrahigh deposition rates, pattern resolution of up to 1000 dpi, and a high-performance pentacene thin-film transistor (TFT) are demonstrated.
